Dr. Partridge received his PhD in Zoology from the University of London, and then at Westminister Medical School at Charings Cross Hospital London until 1994. During this time, he became an authority of muscle stem cells, including publications of the first applications of myoblasts to mdx mouse (animal model of Duchenne muscular dystrophy). From 1994-2005 he was head of the Muscle Cell Biology Group at the MRC Clinical Centre, Royal Post-graduate Medical School in London. In 2005, he moved to the Research Center for Genetic Medicine at Childrenās National Medical Center in Washington DC to join the muscular dystrophy research group there. He has published over 150 articles on muscle cell and molecular biology, and is currently supported by the Blaise Pascal Chair from Paris France, the US Department of Defense, and the National Institutes of Health in the USA.
