Dr. Wang's Profile
Dr. Wang received her PhD degree in Biomedical Engineering and Master degree in Electrical Engineering from The Catholic University of America. She had her joint post-doctoral training in bioinformatics and systems biology at Dr. Eric Hoffman’s laboratory at CNMC and Dr. Yue Wang’s laboratory at Department of Electrical Engineering, Virginia Tech. Dr. Wang has extensive experiences in bioinformatics, biomedical engineering and mathematics, and she has worked on various bioinformatics projects, focusing on statistical data mining and neural network classification on high dimensional microarray data. She is continuing her research on designing and developing computational systems biology approaches to studying molecular mechanistic action of glucocorticoids in dystrophic muscle. This research focuses on modeling molecular networks using proteomic, transcriptional and pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics (PK/PD) time series data, and involves advanced statisitcal and computational methods in signal processing, dynamic system control and probabilistic graphical model.
